Kenworth and Peterbilt, both divisions of Paccar, will not be among the Class 8 nameplates showing off new and existing technology at the 2009 Mid-America Trucking Show scheduled for mid-March in Louisville, KY.

Kenworth has decided not to exhibit at the 2009 Mid-America Trucking Show, nor will the company sponsor a concert for truckers or host a press conference. The company will, instead, be working with their dealers in the U.S. and Canada and with their plants to bring customers to events where they can drive Kenworth trucks.

“We’re actually concentrating on bringing the world’s best trucks and technologies directly to customers and prospects via a number of events at our plants and our dealers,” Public Relations Manager for KW, Jeff Parietti, told Land Line on Friday, Jan. 16. “And we’re sort of taking a little refocusing, strategic refocusing of resources for this year and to actually get customers in our trucks as much as possible for test driving – where at Mid-America they don’t really have an opportunity to do that.”
