Jason’s Law…Time to make some calls everyone
It’s extremely important everyone realize we must make some calls. First to thank those who have stepped up…especially Rep. Tonko. Following will be a list of the representatives who are already co-sponsoring this bill. There will also be a link to the Committee for Transportation and Infrastructure…which I can not impress enough the urgency to contact the members of this committee. I would say an e-mail would be enough, but this is not the case. The vast majority of Representatives only accept e-mails from their respective constituents. So a call must be made to each and every one of the members.
Rep. Tonko came on our shoe “The Truck Stops Here,” and personally spoke with us about Jason’s Law. I have Bo Duffy, Communication Officer for Rep. Tonko, to thank for this. He was instrumental in making this opportunity to speak with Rep. Tonko possible. I am currently aggressively attempting to get my representative, Rep. Thornberry, to step up and co-sponsor this bill…and I urge each and everyone of you to do the same with your representatives, if they’re not on the following list.

Once again I can not stress enough the need for everyone to stand up and speak out. We need to contact each and every one of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure members. From the list the above link takes you to will be the members…when you call the above phone numbers ask for a specific member each time. Hit ‘em all people…they are the ones to mark this bill up for full committee. Once this happens we’ll then direct our efforts to Rep Pelosi to put this bill on calender.
Also…don’t forget to contact your own representative if they’re not on the co-sponsor list. And please contact Rep. Tonka and the current co-sponsors and thank them for what they’re doing.
