Happy Mothers Day
Happy Mothers Day! to all you mothers out there today. This is the one day, you should not have to do anything. I know, there are some who must still go out and do there jobs, as they do everyday. This day means a lot to me, no my mother is still alive and well. But, it means so much to me because I was adopted when I was just three months old. I really do not know who my real mother is. I just know I was adopted by my “real” mother.
My mom put up with a lot from us growing up over the years. She is still putting up with a lot. She has to put up with my Dad, lol I had to add that in there. My mother is a strong christian in faith and an even stronger person in life. A few months ago, she had to have both her knees replaced at the same time. She made it through the surgery just fine, but in the weeks to follow it was not good. My mother almost died a couple different times, in the passing weeks, she got really weak from not eating after the surgery. Finally she got over it pretty good and started eating again, thank GOD!
I don’t know if I could have handled it if I had lost her. She was always there for me, and now I am always here for her. I don’t see her as often as I would like, but she seems not to mind. She realizes I work and work always comes first in her eyes. She lost her mother, just a couple months ago, so days like this are probably hard on her. I pray she gets through it, without too much heart ache.
Without You
Mom, without you, there would be no me.
Your love, your attention, your guidance,
have made me who I am.
Without you, I would be lost,
wandering aimlessly,
without direction or purpose.
You showed me the way
to serve, to accomplish, to persevere.
Without you, there would be an empty space
I could never fill, no matter how I tried.
Instead, because of you,
I have joy, contentment, satisfaction and peace.
Thank you, mom.
I have always loved you
and I always will.
