Turkey Causes Tractor Trailer Accident

OGDENSBURG, NY – State Police say that a turkey caused a tractor-trailer accident on Pinkerton Road in Oswegatchie yesterday afternoon.

According to reports, Scott M. Fisher, 38, of Lisbon was traveling west on Pinkerton Road when a turkey flew into the cab of his tractor-trailer through an open window. Fisher became distracted by the bird and was attempting to remove it from the truck when his vehicle crossed the eastbound lane and went off the south shoulder. The truck struck several fence posts and a National Grid pole before coming to a rest on its side in a ditch.

Mr. Fisher was not injured in the accident.
