BMI Included In Electronic Medical Records By 2014

New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that electronic health records will be here by 2014.

All Americans are supposed to have them by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that Obama signed last year – must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.

The law also requires that these electronic health records be available – with appropriate security measures – on a national exchange.

Well now, kind of sounds like this will be very easy to implement into CSA2010 records as well.

You can bet your ass sleep apnea testing is coming now. Especially since the NTSB has already added a board member who is an “expert” in fatigue – it’s only a matter of time now.

Reports of truck driver shortages are in already with an estimated 400,000 will be needed within a year. If the BMI regulation is added in which I’m sure it will be now – how many more truck drivers will be needed? Wow, this country is going to hell in a hand basket – and quick. I’m guessing my prediction a few months ago about how the government wants you as a truck driver to be eliminated – at least your driving job – so they (the govt) can give your truck to a returning soldier – is right. Returning soldiers will be ideal to drive for the government ran trucking industry – as regular truck drivers like you and I would not have enough discipline to operate under a government’s complete rule of trucking.

I know there are some drivers that will be qualified to still be able to drive – if you can take all the strict “orders” from the government when they completely take over trucking. Problem is that (the govt) will most likely drop the pay – but you will most likely get the health benefits provided by your government – as you most likely will see your health care cost as the reduction in your pay. Trucks will all run exactly the same speed limit, new drivers will just be ran through a training period (basic training) and then turned loose.

As with many of my articles these are just my opinions as they are like an ass-hole and everybody has one and this has been mine. But mark my words it sounds like this is going to play out.

I’m just hoping and praying that in November about 8 million CDL holders remember to vote. And then again in 2012 as a major change is needed.
