CLEVELAND — Ohio is conducting a statewide safety sweep on highways, looking for potentially fatal safety violations in big rigs.
When a fully loaded tractor-trailer hits 65 mph, it’ll take 525 feet to stop, unless it has no brakes. That’s one of the violations discovered during Road Check 2009.

GREENWICH — The state will run an around-the-clock safety inspection blitz over the next three days at the weigh station south of Exit 2 on Interstate 95 as part of a national truck safety crackdown.
