WINTER STORM IMPACTING STATE
Due to the severe winter weather, the State Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is at Level Two activation, which involves extended operating hours for key personnel. The Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM) is in contact with emergency managers in the affected areas.

Big storm moves into S. Calif.; snow closes I-5

LOS ANGELES – A storm that could be the largest of the season is bringing heavy rain and snow to sections of California.
The National Weather Service posted winter storm warnings Monday for the Sierra Nevada and issued flood advisories from the San Francisco Bay area south to the Los Angeles region.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM EST Wednesday. Snow will develop across the area tonight and continue into Tuesday. Another wave of precipitation will overspread the area Tuesday evening and continue into Wednesday morning.

Snowy roads lead to fatal accident

Snow covered, slippery roads led to the death of a Blair man Monday evening after the pick up truck he was driving was t-boned by a semi tractor trailer.

Winter weather turns deadly in Northwest Indiana

A winter storm blanketing Northwest Indiana turned deadly Wednesday when two people were killed in a series of crashes involving 20 cars on the Indiana Toll Road in western Porter County.
The pair were killed in separate, but almost simultaneous, collisions in the westbound lanes, near the U.S. 49 exit at 9:50 a.m., police said.
