NHTSA reports Traffic Fatalities down in 2009

Today the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) released their report on traffic fatalities for 2009.
The report indicates that fatalities are still on a downward trend.

This is good news obviously, but still it is too many according to U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.

Kentucky 546 AA Highway new traffic signal Dec. 14

Another accident has yet brought us another traffic signal to the AA Highway in Kentucky.
In my opinion this probably won’t help a whole lot with accidents because they will still allow people to turn right on red.
