The American Trucking Association (ATA) and other trucking industry speakers sent the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA) a message yesterday “The current Hours of Service (HOS) rules are working.

NRDC Attack on City of Long Beach is Baseless and Inaccurate

Arlington, Va. – Today the NRDC announced it was filing suit against the City of Long Beach to overturn a settlement with the ATA that ended litigation over the Port of Long Beach truck concession plan.
Long Beach settled the lawsuit after the U.S. District Court of Appeals declared the concession plan illegal.

A Virginia man died Monday in a crash along the Ohio Turnpike in Williams County, and a Minnesota man faces a vehicular homicide charge.
